American rock band Steely Dan consists of core members Donald Fagen and Walter Becker, who met at Bard College in 1967. Shortly after, the two began writing songs together and playing in local groups. Steely Dan released their debut album, Can't Buy A Thrill, in 1972 and made an immediate impression with two hit singles. Local Events This Weekend

Now that it's officially September, I think it's safe to say that summer is sadly coming to an end very soon. We won't have too many more warm weekends so now would be the time to get out there and enjoy it, especially since there are so many things going on this weekend.

The Minnesota State Fair only goes through Labor Day so if you haven't gone yet, you're missing out! There are a number of concerts taking place there including Casting Crowns tonight; Garrison Keillor tomorrow night; REO Speedwagon and Styx on Saturday night; and lastly Jeff Dunham on Monday night.

Other events this weekend include the Vikings vs. Cowboys game tomorrow night, WWE at the Xcel and Mark Mallman at First Avenue on Saturday. Mary Poppins performances run throughout the weekend as well.
